(representative image/express photo)UGC NET June 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has again extended the application submission deadline for UGC NET June 2024 session. This is the second extension of the examination. Interested candidates can still apply at the official UGC NET website — ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The Agency has also pushed the last date for submission of the UGC NET examination fee to May 20, upto 11:59. Earlier, the deadline was from May 16 to May 17. Candidates can complete the transaction using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam by paying the application fees i.e. for General candidates it is Rs 1150, General-EWS/OBC-NCL Rs 600, ST/SC/PWD Rs 375.
UGC NET aspirants are allowed to make corrections in the particulars in online application form from May 21 to May 23. The exam centre city and details will be announced after the registration process is completed.

After receiving the requests and feedback of candidates, the National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from June 16 (Sunday) to June 18, 2024 (Tuesday). NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day. NTA will soon issue a formal notification, as per a post on ‘X’ by the UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar. UPSC CSE is scheduled to held on June 16 and was clashing with UGC NET.
The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in multi shift. It will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. The test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions and candidates will get total three hours duration for both papers which will consists 150 questions.
