UGC NET Admit Card 2024 Live Updates: UGC NET June 2024 exam hall guidelines

UGC NET is held twice a year. One in June and the next in December. The UGC NET 2024 June exam is set to be held on June 18. 

UGC NET for 42 subjects will be conducted in the morning shift between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm and the exam for 41 subjects will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm in the second shift.

(ii) Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD

(iii) Admission to PhD only

1. The UGC NET June 2024 admit card would be issued provisionally to the candidates

2. The candidate has to download the UGC NET admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the examination at the given centre on date, shift, time and discipline as indicated in his/her admit card.

3. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination centre on date and timings other than that allotted to them in their admit card.

4. In case a candidate is unable to download the admit card from the website, he/she may approach the helpline of NTA between 9:30 am to 5:30 pm or write to NTA at ugcnet.nta.ac.in/, ugcnet.ntaonline.in.

5. The candidates are advised to read the Instructions given in the Admit Card carefully in advance of the exam day and follow them during the conduct of the examination.

6. In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signatures shown in the admit card and confirmation page, the candidate may immediately approach the helpline. In such cases, candidates would appear in the examination with the already downloaded admit card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make correction in the record later.

The UGC NET 2024 exams in shift 1 include, philosophy, history, commerce, social work, public administration, music, Hindi, Kannada, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Arabic, linguistics, Nepali, Marathi, French, Spanish, Russian, Rajasthani, German, Japanese, adult education, physical education, Arab culture and Islamic studies, Indian culture, law, Buddhist – Jaina – Gandhian and peace studies, comparative study of religions, dance, drama, performing art, criminology, comparative literature, women studies, visual art, geography, social studies and community health, Konkani, computer science and applications, environmental sciences, tourism administration and management, Santali and Sindhi.

Exams in shift 2 include economics, political science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, education, defence and strategic studies, home science, population studies, management, Maithili, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu, Urdu, English, Chinese, Dogri, Manipuri, Assamese, Gujarati, Persian, labour welfare, library and information science, mass communication and journalism, museology and conservation, archaelogy, tribal and regional language – literature, folk literature, Sanskrit traditional, forensic science, Pali, Kashmiri, electronic science, politics including international, Prakrit, human rights and duties, Bodo, yoga, Hindu studies and Indian knowledge systems.

The UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted on June 18 in two shifts. UGC NET for 42 subjects will be conducted in the morning shift between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm and the exam for 41 subjects will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm in the second shift.

3. On the next window, enter UGC NET application number, date of birth and given security pin

4. Submit and download UGC NET admit card

No, the UGC NET June 2024 hall ticket link is not active yet. The ugcnet.nta.ac.in website will make the admit card link available.

Candidates must bring the following documents to the UGC NET 2024 test centre

- Printed copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA website.

- One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the online application form) for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at centre during the examination.

- Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non- expired) – PAN card or driving license, passport, Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/ aadhaar). The name on the photo identification must match the name as shown on the admit card.
