After visiting a few exam venues at Agartala, TBSE president Dr Bhabatosh Saha said the Class 10 exams were held in 162 venues spread across 77 centres. Candidates from 1,092 schools take the exams, and 117 candidates appear for the Madrasa Alim examination, which is the madhyamik-equivalent examination for Islamic educational institutions, Saha said.
“I have visited a few centres. The questions were fine. Nobody has complained about anything so far,” the TBSE chief told reporters.

When the higher secondary exams started on Wednesday, candidates at Kanchanpur in North Tripura had to rely on candles as power went out.
For the first time, the education board conducted board exams in two phases—Term I and II—last year, owing to the Covid pandemic. It also reduced the syllabi for Classes 10 and 12 by 30 per cent because of the pandemic in 2021.
