The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) has released a notification inviting applications for direct recruitment to 1,743 vacancies in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC).
The posts include both Drivers and Shramiks, and the online application process will be available on the official website tgprb.in from 8 am on October 8, 2025. The last date to submit applications is October 28, up to 5 am.
The recruitment will fill 1,000 posts for Drivers and 743 posts for Shramiks in the TGSRTC. The pay scale for Drivers ranges from Rs 20,960 to Rs 60,080, while for Shramiks it ranges from Rs 16,550 to Rs 45,030.

According to the notification, the age limit varies for the two categories of posts. For Drivers (Post Code 45), applicants must have completed 22 years of age but not exceeded 35 years as of July 1, 2025. For Shramiks (Post Code 46), the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years on the same date. However, the Government of Telangana, through GO Ms No. 30 dated February 8, 2024, has extended the upper age limit by an additional 12 years for direct recruitment. This relaxation is applicable in addition to the normal upper age limit, and detailed age limits for reserved categories will be available in the complete notification.
In terms of educational qualification, candidates applying for the Driver posts must have passed SSC (10th class) or an equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as of July 1, 2025. For the post of Shramiks, candidates must have completed ITI in relevant trades such as Mechanic (Diesel/Motor Vehicle), Sheet Metal, Fitter, Auto Electrician, Painter, Welder, Upholstery, Millwright Mechanic, or equivalent trades recognized under the Centre of Excellence.
Applicants applying for the post of Driver must also fulfill specific physical and technical requirements. All eligible candidates will be required to undergo a Physical Measurement Test (PMT), where the minimum height requirement has been set at 160 cm. In addition, candidates must hold a valid driving licence for Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle (HPMV) and Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Transport Vehicle. The licence should have been valid continuously for a minimum of 18 months as on September 17, the date of issue of the notification.
