The University of Sheffield, UK is inviting applications for its MSc Pharmaceutical Engineering course starting in September 2023. Interested candidates can apply at the official website – sheffield.ac.uk.

This course is fully accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers and is a one year long programme. This course will cost £28,700 (Rs 29 lakh approx) to an Indian student.

Eligibility

Interested students should be holders of a three 0r four year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60 per cent or “first class” in science, technology and engineering from a recognised university.

In addition to the academic eligibility criteria, the varsity also demands an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

MSc Pharmaceutical Engineering course: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official course website – sheffield.ac.uk/postgraduate/taught/courses/2023/pharmaceutical-engineering-msc

Step 2: Scroll towards the end and click on ‘apply now’.

Step 3: Complete your application form. This form is divided into two parts. Part 1 is for personal information, including English language ability, and previous education and employment. You have to complete all of the mandatory fields in this part (marked with a *) before you can go on to Part 2. Part 2 is where you select the course or courses you want to apply for. You can apply for a total of three different postgraduate courses.

Step 4: Submit your application form, and download the confirmation page for future reference.

Step 5: Once you get a confirmation from the university, reply accordingly, and pay the required tuition fee.

This programme has been developed taking into consideration the requirements of the global pharmaceutical industry. The course modules concentrate more on chemical engineering fundamentals, rather than the chemistry part of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
