Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website — bath.ac.uk.
The last date to apply for the course is June 30 and the session will commence from October 2023. Also, the application process for courses beginning in 2024 will commence from early September.
In order to apply for the programme, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with their final overall result. But, since the grading scale is different in different places, the candidates should upload a copy of the grading scale used by their institution along with their transcript at the time of submitting their application.
The applicants will have to submit a personal statement with details about their academic qualifications and their relevance to the course, why they want to pursue the course and outline about their future aspirations. They will also have to fulfil language requirements— a minimum of either a 7.0 IELTS score with not less than 6.5 in all components, a Pearson Test of English Academic– 69 and not less than 62 in any element, TOEFL IBT– 100 overall with a minimum score of 24 in all four components.
Students of the course have an optional alternative to a dissertation, ‘practice track’, a consultancy or research-based project with an external organisation. Classes will be taken by academics, guest lectures and talks from industry professionals in sports or management sectors.
All the students can register for free sports pass to access some of the sports facilities at the Sports Training Village (STV) at University of Bath, a venue that hosts over 50 sports, over 250 international level athletes and more than 20 regional or national sports teams.
Once the course is completed, students can be placed in various fields including sports development, sports marketing, sports administration, event management, sports consultancy and entrepreneurship.
