The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on its anniversary celebration has announced a quiz competition for undergraduate college students across all the streams. The application will be open till September 17. Winner will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh from the bank. This RBI 90 Quiz will consist of general knowledge questions from history, economics, and current affairs among other subjects. The registration for the nationwide quiz started on August 20. There is no registration fee. Interested students can visit - rbi90quiz.in/students/register - to register for the quiz competition. The RBI 90 Quiz will be held between September 19 to 21. RBI 90 Quiz: Eligibility - Undergraduate students pursuing bachelor's degree through recognised colleges across India can apply. - The age of the participants should not exceed 25 years as of September 1, 2024. Only those born on or after September 1, 1999 are eligible. - Multiple teams from a college can participate or a group of two students can also participate. - Reserve Bank of India's employees (including contractual employees) and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Employees and family members of the agencies associated directly or indirectly with RBI in organising of the quiz are also not eligible to participate. RBI 90 Quiz: Phases The quiz will have four phases. The 36 MCQ quiz has a time limit of 25-second to answer each question. The first and second runner up will get a cash prize of Rs 8 lakh and 6 lakh respectively. On the above mentioned website, students can also practice for the quiz and can see the types of the questions asked by RBI. RBI 90 Quiz: Rules of the quiz - Each team can participate in the quiz only once. A team must use a single device i.e., mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. - The questions will be available in Hindi and English. Participants will have to choose their language option. - Each correct answer earns 1 point. There are no penalties for incorrect answers. - Ties, if any, will be resolved on the basis of the least amount of time taken for completing the RBI 90 Quiz. For the teams with visually impaired student/s, the actual time taken will be halved. - If ties still remain, the decision will be based on the number of difficult questions answered correctly in the RBI 90 Quiz. - In case ties still persist, the decision will be taken based on the amount of time taken to attempt those difficult questions in the RBI 90 Quiz.
