PSEB Class 10th, 12th compartment exam application begins; check full schedule

The compartment exams are for those candidates, who could not clear one or more subjects in the regular Class 10 and 12 exams.

Punjab 10th and 12th supplementary exam 2024: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), Mohali, has announced the compartment/re-appear exam 2024 registration dates. Students can visit the official website — pseb.ac.in and fill up the application form.

The last date to fill the examination form and deposit the fee online is May 25 and the last date to submit the exam form is May 29. Students will also have the provision to register beyond May 25 with the payment of a late fee of Rs 1,000. The last date to fill the application form and deposit fee online with the payment of a late fee is June 7, and the last date to submit the application form by visiting the regional office is June 12.

The compartment exams are for those candidates, who could not clear one or more subjects in the regular Class 10 and 12 exams. Class 10 students for reappearing for the exam have to pay Rs Rs 1,150 and Rs 200 for additional subject exam, i.e, Rs 1,350 per exam including a hard copy fee for the certificate, and class 12 students for the compartment exam have to pay Rs 1,750 per exam (Rs 1,500 for compartment and Rs 250 for additional subject exam) including a hard copy fee of certificate.

This year, the Punjab Board results were declared on April 30, 2024. The overall pass percentage recorded for the PSEB class 10 board exam is 97.24 per cent, while it is 93.04 per cent for the class 12 board exams 2024.

Step 1- Visit the official website – pseb.ac.in

Step 2- On the homepage, navigate and click on the Punjab board compartment exam form link.

Step 3- Login using the required credentials and fill out the application form.

Step 4- Complete the application by making the payment online.

Step 5- Take print for the confirmation page for future reference.

The PSEB compartment exam date sheet will be released soon by the Punjab board, and students need to visit their respective schools to collect their admit cards once released.

In 2023, the Class 10 board recorded an overall pass percentage of 97.54 per cent. Gagandeep Kaur of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Sr Secondary School, Faridkot tops the state in Class 10 with 100 per cent marks (650 out of 650 marks). The second spot was bagged by Navjot Kaur securing 648 out of 650 marks (99.69 per cent).

In the 2023 class 12 exam, 18,569 students failed the exam and were provided the opportunity to appear in the compartment exam.

Whereas in the PSEB 12th result 2023, Girls have performed better than boys and recorded a passing percentage of 95.14 per cent and that of boys is 90.25 per cent. While for class 10 exam 2023 also girl’s pass percentage was 98.46 per cent and boys recorded a pass percentage of 96.73 per cent.
