PSEB 12th Result 2025: Punjab Board Class 12th Result out, 91% pass +2 exam

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday said the "marvellous" results of classes 10 and 12 reflect progress of the state towards becoming 'Rangla Punjab' (vibrant Punjab). He made the remarks at an event where he felicitated students who secured top positions in the exams conducted by the Punjab School Education Board.

Mann said it's the state government's "revolutionary" changes in the education sector that produced such results.

It is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that students in rural areas have done exceptionally well with the pass percentage of these schools at 96.09 per cent, he said. The pass percentage in the urban schools has been around 94 per cent, which is unprecedented, he added.

Mann said it is heartening to see that around 1,000 high secondary schools out of a total of 3,840 scored 100 per cent marks. Such is the impact of the education revolution in the state that most of the toppers in board exams are from small and far-flung villages, he said in an official statement.

Mann said 26 of these students are budding sportspersons. The CM praised the teachers as the unsung heroes for their hard work and perseverance. He also pointed out that the girls outscored the boys.

All three transgender candidates who appeared in the PSEB Class 12 exams passed successfully, marking a 100% pass rate for transgender students this year.

The pass percentage among girls stood at 94.32%, significantly higher than the 88.08% recorded among boys. Girls also secured all top ranks.

Out of 265,388 students who appeared for the Punjab Board Class 12 exams, 241,506 passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 91% this year.

Arsh Nahi of Shri Tara Chand Vidya Mandir, Mansa, secured third place with 498/500 marks. She belongs to the Humanities stream and was placed third due to her age, despite scoring the same as the second ranker.

Manveer Kaur of S.S. Memorial Senior Secondary Public School, Ferozepur, secured second position in the Science stream with 498 out of 500 marks. Her younger age gave her an edge in the tie-breaker.

The top three ranks in the Punjab Class 12 results have been secured by girls. The first two toppers are from the Science stream, while the third position goes to a student from Humanities.

Harseerat Kaur from Barnala district has topped the PSEB Class 12 exams with a perfect score of 500/500. A student of Sarvhitkari Senior Secondary Vidya Mandir, she has brought pride to the state by securing 100% marks.

The Government schools had a pass percentage of 92.57 per cent last year, non-government schools had a slightly higher pass percentage of 94.63 per cent and aided schools had a pass percentage of 91.86 per cent. The girls had performed better than the boys by scoring 4 percentage points more.

This year’s topper list features exceptional performances from girl students across Punjab.

1st Rank: Harseerat Kaur from Barnala with a perfect 100% score

2nd Rank: Manveer Kaur from Firozpur with 99.60%

3rd Rank: Arsh from Mansa, also with 99.60%

School-wise, the pass percentage is non govt schools are the best. 92.47 per cent (65,437) students have passed from 70.763 students appearing from it.

The pass percentage is government schools is 91.01 per cent. As many as 1,68,979 students have appeared from government schools in PSEB Class 12 exams nad of them, 1,53,794 students have passed.

Among the total 25,646 students appearing from aided schools, as many as 22,275 students have passed taking the pass percentage to 86.86 per cent.

Of the total 1,16,303 students appearing in the PSEB Class 12 exams from urban areas, as many as 105537 students have passed taking the pass percentage to 90.74 per cent.

In the rural areas, as many as 1,49,085 students have appeared and of them, 1,35,969 students have passed. The pass percentage among the students in rural areas is 91.20 per cent.

Harseerat Kaur, Manveer Kaur and Arsh have bagged the top three positions in PSEB Class 12 exams this year.

The Punjab Board Chairman, Dr Amarpal Singh, today, declared the 10+2 result at PSEB headquarters in Mohali.

Arsh from Mansa has bagged the third position in PSEB Class 12 exams. The third rank holder has obtained 99.60 per cent marks.

The PSEB Class 12th second topper is Manvir Kaur. The PSEB 12th Punjab board rank 2 is from Ferozepur. She has scored 99.60 per cent marks.

Harsirat Kaur has bagged the top position in PSEB Punjab board 2025 Class 12 exam by scoring 100 per cent marks. The PSEB topper is from Barnala.

The IE Education portal is not hosting the result of PSEB Class 12. However, for more information on Punjab board Class 12 results, supplementary exams and revaluation dates, students can check IE Education portal – education.indianexpress.com.

The press conference to announce the Mohali board Class 12 result 2025 has begun. The passing percentage, district wise result and PSEB Class 12 toppers list will be declared soon.

In case a student loses his or her PSEB Class 12 admit card, they will have to connect with their schools to provide them with the school code, roll number, and any other information required to obtain the PSEB Class 12th Mohali board results.

The PSEB Punjab Board Class 12th marksheet mentions the marks scored by students in different subjects. To collect the PSEB senior secondary Class 12th exam original mark sheets, students will have to visit their respective schools a few days after the result declaration. The original hard copies of the marksheets will be provided by the board to the schools after a few days.

Last year, Punjab Board Class 12 results were declared on April 30. Students were able to check and download their marksheets online in the early hours of May 1.

If a student fails in one or more exams in the PSEB Class 12 exam, they will be given an opportunity to appear in the supplementary exams. The dates of the supplementary exams will be released after the result declaration.

The online version of the Punjab board Class 12 result downloaded from the official website will be provided for students’ immediate reference only, PSEB said while announcing the Punjab PSEB 2025 Class 12 result date and time. The board also clarified that it will not be held responsible for any discrepancies or errors in the provisional Class 12 PSEB 2025 result.

To pass the PSEB Class 12 exams, students need to obtain 33 per cent marks. In subjects having both practical and theory, students will have to pass both separately. While the aggregate pass percentage of every subject should be 33 per cent, for practical section, those obtaining 20 per cent marks and 33 per cent for theory will also be deemed pass.

The pass percentage of girls in the PSEB Class 10 result last year was 95.74 per cent, while it was 90.74 per cent in case of boys. An overall pass percentage was recorded at 93.04 per cent last year.

Last year, as many as 2,84,452 students appeared in the PSEB Punjab board exams. Of them, 2,64,662 passed Class 12 PSEB exams.

A total of 2,981 students failed the PSEB Punjab Board Class 12 exam, which was 1.04 percent of the total students who appeared for the exam last year.

The district Amritsar bagged the top position in the state with a 97.27 per cent pass percentage. Shri Muktsar Sahib had the lowest 87.86 pass per cent last year.

The overall pass percentage for Punjab Board PSEB Inter Class 12th last year was 93.04 per cent. The pass percentage last year witnessed a slight improvement from 2023. In 2023, the pass percentage was 92.47 per cent.

The PSEB Mohali board Class 12 exams were held between February 19 and April 4 in pen-paper format and the practical exams were conducted from February 27 to March 4. The PSEB Class 12 exams were conducted for all three streams – science, commerce and arts.

Punjab Board Chairman, Dr Amar Pal Singh announced the Class 12 PSEB 2025 result date and time. On May 13, he said that all arrangements related to the Punjab Class 12 result announcement have been finalised.

There will not be any physical gazette this year for PSEB Class 12 result. The result will be released online.
