
PSEB 8th Result 2023 Updates: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) released the board exam result for Class 8 today at 2:30 pm. Students who appeared for the Class 8 exams can check the detailed results at pseb.ac.in and indiaresults.com. Lovepreet Kaur Government Girls School, Mansa is the state topper. The result link will be active at 10 am on April 29.

“This year’s Class 8 result shows that Punjab has strengthened women’s education, and we are very proud of this. We will keep putting in more efforts for the betterment of girls’ education in the state,” PSEB official.
Recently, the PSEB released the Class 5 results, in which the overall pass percentage was 99.69 per cent, which is a minor increase from 99.62 per cent of last year. This year, the transgender students passed with flying colours; a total of 10 transgender students appeared for the exams and all of them passed. Additionally, girls have fared better than boys as girls score 99.74 per cent and boys scored an overall pass percentage of 99.65 per cent.

There is no provision for re-evaluation for Class 8 results, said PSEB official. Students in classes 10 and 12 can apply for re-evaluation when their results are announced. As per the RTE, students appearing in class 5 and 8 boards who do not clear exams are not detained but they appear for re-exam.

A total of 2,98,127 candidates appeared in the Class 8 exam this year out of which 2,92,206 candidates cleared the exam. The pass percentage for this year is 98.01 per cent.
The Controller of Examinations said that the candidates who failed in this examination of Class 8 can provisionally take admission in Class 9. Candidates who pass the supplementary examination will be declared as 'Promoted'

A total of 5791 students were provisionally prohibited from going to Class 9. They will have exams again after 2 month

This year, 6 transgender students appeared for the exams and all of them have passed. "Our education should be inclusive, and the so-called 'deprived community' should be encouraged and supported. The participation of these students is increasing in Punjab Board and we welcome this change," says PSEB official.

Punjab Board Class 8 provisonal marksheets will be released tomorrow, April 29, as per the past trends of the result announcement. The board activates the result link one day after the result declaration

For candidates who could not clear PSEB Class 8 examination, their supplementary examination will be held in two months. All those students who have flunked their exam will have to fill out the form separately, for which the date will be notified separately through school login and newspapers, as per PSEB.
The students can check their results at the official website pseb.ac.in or at punjab.indiaresults.com. The student will simply need to enter his or her name, roll number, mobile number and email id. The result should appear on the screen and should be saved for future reference.
