Located 36 km from Ambala at Mullana in Haryana, Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is affiliated to Maharishi Markandeshwar (deemed to be university), Mullana and accredited by the Medical Council of India. The institute provides MBBS courses, MD, MS courses in 21 disciplines and super specialty courses (DM, MCh) in four disciplines. MM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is equipped with 1025 teaching beds and 100 ICU beds.

Pt. BD Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak is located about 240 km from Chandigarh and about 70 km from Delhi on Delhi-Hissar-Sirsa-Fazilka National Highway (NH-10). The institute was established in 1960 under the name of Medical College, Rohtak. For the first three years, the students were admitted to Medical College, Patiala which acted as a host institution.

In 1963, the students were shifted to Rohtak. In 1994, the college was renamed Pt BD Sharma, Medical College, Rohtak and subsequently upgraded to a Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in 1995. The college is equipped with 1597 beds.

Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences is the dental college of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma (Pt BD Sharma) Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak.
