The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced the registration for Round 3 of NEET UG counselling 2025, covering All India Quota, Deemed, and Central universities. Candidates can submit their applications through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. The registration window closes on October 5, while the choice-filling option opens on September 30 and remains available until 11:55 pm on October 5, 2025. List of scholarship for MBBS aspirants The choice-locking period will start at 4 pm on October 5 and conclude at 11:55 pm the same day. The Medical Counselling Committee will carry out the seat allotment process from October 6 to October 7, with the results scheduled to be announced on October 8, 2025. NEET UG Counselling 2025: Who can apply? Only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2025 are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling covers the following categories: –15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats –100% seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and ESIC institutions –Institutional quota seats managed through MCC –AFMC and IP quota at ESIC –Central and Deemed University admissions NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Steps to register online Once registration opens on July 21, candidates can follow these steps to register themselves – Step 1: Visit the official website: mcc.nic.in Step 2: Click on the “UG Medical Counselling” section Step 3: Register or log in using NEET UG credentials Step 4: Complete the application form and pay the processing fee Step 5: Upload necessary documents (NEET scorecard, photo ID, category certificate, etc.) Step 6: Fill and lock your choices of colleges and courses Step 7: Download the confirmation page for future reference Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats must report to their respective colleges for admission between October 9 and October 17, 2025. Meanwhile, the Union Cabinet approved the third phase of the centrally sponsored scheme to add 5,023 MBBS seats and 5,000 PG seats in existing government medical colleges and institutes at a cost of Rs 15,034 crore over the next three years. This is in line with the government’s plan of adding 75,000 new medical seats over the next five years, as announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in this year’s budget.
