The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) will be held on May 5. NEET UG, held for admission to the undergraduate medical programmes, will comprise questions from physics, chemistry and biology. NEET 2024 question paper will comprise 200 questions and will be held for 200 minutes duration.
Starting the NEET UG question paper with biology is statistically wise, as questions in this domain are typically less intricate and require less time than physics and chemistry. Begin with rote memorisation-based and formulaic questions to maintain mental clarity for more challenging ones. A maximum of 60 minutes should be allocated to biology in the final exam.
For physics and chemistry in NEET UG, candidates should adopt a three-round strategy. In the first round, address easy theoretical or numerical questions that rely on formulas or rote learning. In the second round, tackle difficult questions that require analytical skills. In the final round, revisit those challenging questions left unattempted.
Briefly scan both sections: A and B, before delving into questions, prioritise reviewing all section-B questions, and avoid emotional entanglements in challenging questions.
Handle NEET UG questions meticulously, grasp the language, and pay attention to keywords. Challenge yourself to explain wrong choices, opt for the most suitable option in questions with multiple correct answers, use rough sheets for brief notes, and regulate water intake to minimise breaks.
Develop a well-defined strategy for filling the OMR sheet and adhere to it during the exam, ensuring accuracy.
NEET aspirants should plan study schedules, allocate extra time to challenging subjects and topics, and ensure sufficient time for revision and regular mock tests.
They should set practical goals, monitor progress consistently, and adhere to schedules diligently.
The NEET UG aspirants should utilise NCERT books for preparation, underline key points and highlight important keywords and sentences for enhanced retention.
Paying attention to school laboratory experiments will help the aspirants learn concepts. They should also follow the NCERT lab manual.
Maintaining physical and mental well-being is essential during the arduous NEET preparation journey. Allocate time for daily exercise and meditation, adopt an upright sitting posture during mock tests to simulate exam hall conditions, and prioritise adequate sleep.
