If the eligible candidate requires a scribe, it may be provided by NTA, if requested while filling the online application form of NEET UG 2024.

Marks obtained in mathematics will not to be considered for eligibility for admission to the undergraduate medical courses.

There is no upper age limit to register for NEET UG 2024.

As per the NEET UG age criteria, an applicant must have completed 17 years of age to register for NEET UG 2024.

To fill the NEET application form 2024, medical aspirants must have a valid email ID and mobile number. Due to the COVID outbreak, no examinations were conducted for 2021 batch of Class 10 (Tamil Nadu State Board) and all candidates who studied SSLC in the academic year 2020-21 were declared passed. While filling up of the online application form of NEET UG 2024, when the candidate selects ‘Passing year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.), the result mode field will be disabled and the associated fields for marks/ CGPA will be invisible for Tamil Nadu State Board candidates who have passed their Class 10 in year 2021.

Candidates are required to keep ready a few important items - scanned copy of photograph and signature (as per the prescribed specifications), bank account details, education qualification certificates before filling the application form.

While filling the online NEET 2024 application form, aspirants need to pay an application fee. For Indian candidates belonging to General Category, the NEET 2024 registration fee is Rs 1,700. However, there are relaxations for the reserved categories. For General-EWS/ OBC-NCL, the NEET UG application fee is Rs 1,600 and for SC/ST/PwBD/Third gender, it is Rs 1,000.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) syllabus for the 2024 exams. The NEET UG 2024 syllabus has been finalised by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of NMC. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers NEET UG.

IISc Bangalore has issued fresh admit cards for GATE 2024 candidates of the affected Haldwani centres. As per the official notification, the candidates who were enrolled to appear for GATE 2024 sessions S5 and S6 on February, 10, 2024 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand have now been assigned new exam centres in Bareilly.

This time, the NEET UG 2024 will not be conducted outside India, as per decision of National Medical Commission, a senior NTA official confirmed to indianexpress.com.

These topics have been added as these are being taught in various School Boards i.e. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bihar School Education Board, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS),Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, Nagaland Board of School Education, Board of secondary education Manipur

Due to the COVID-19 scenario, various school boards deleted portions of each subject's syllabus. The deleted portion is still not being taken back by these boards. The deletions were not uniform across various boards. Hence, a number of requests were received by the NTA for the revision of the syllabus

The total number of exam cities for NEET UG 2024 have been increased to 554 instead of previous year's 499 cities in India and abroad. As of now, the list of exam centres for outside India have not been listed in the information bulletin. The candidate should select any four cities of their choice for examination of NEET UG 2024.

The examination fee once deposited will not be refunded. The fee  will not be carried forward to a future examination. Also, applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn.

The NEET 2024 exam will have 200 objective-type questions, of which candidates have to answer 180.

NEET UG 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi and Urdu. 

To be eligible for NEET UG 2024, the candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission, as of December 31, 2024. Additionally, candidates should have clearedClass 12 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects from a recognised board.

Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services for Undergraduate Medical Courses. Information for online counselling would only be available on the MCC website (https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/) for Undergraduate Medical/Dental Courses. Qualified candidates are advised to read the counselling-related information carefully and understand the course of action to be taken by them for appearing in the Counselling.

There is no upper age limit for NEET UG 2024. This has been decided as per Letter No. U-11022/2/2022-UGMEB, dated 09 March 2022 received from National Medical Commission (NMC), Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) 

The pattern for the NEET UG 2024 examination for admission in the Session 2024-25 is as follows:

Ths list of documents needed:

i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
ii. Scanned photograph, signature, and Left and Right hand Fingers and Thumb impression should be in JPG format (clearly legible).
iii. The size of the scanned passport photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
iv. The size of the scanned Postcard photograph (4”x6”) should be between 10 kb - 200 kb (clearly legible).
v. The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
vi. The size of scanned and Left and Right hand Fingers and Thumb impressions as per the Template provided (Appendix-XVIII) should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
vii. The size of the scanned copy of the PwBD certificate/UDID (Swavlamban) card should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible) 

NEET UG 2024 question comprises four subjects — physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. NMC has earlier in 2023 made minor changes to the NEET syllabus for the 2024 exams. The change in the NEET UG syllabus has been made to accommodate the changes in the NCERT syllabus post-Covid.

NEET UG 2024 application link made active at new NTA NEET website

NEET UG assesses candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany with each divided into sections A and B. Section A comprises 35 questions worth 140 marks, while section B contains 15 questions worth 40 marks. The examination holds a total score of 720 marks.

NTA conducts NEET UG in 13 languages. The candidates desiring to appear for NEET UG have to fill the form accordingly. 

The National Medical Commission (NMC) today issued a warning to medical colleges against forcing postgraduate students to stay in hostels provided by them. NMC has reminded medical colleges that while providing hostel to students is compulsory, colleges cannot force students to stay in hostels.

The NEET UG application link will be made active in an hour, an NTA official told indianexpress.com.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will provide JEE Main, JEE Advanced and NEET preparatory coaching to meritorious students of NDMC schools. The council’s plan is to impart two years of integrated coaching to students of NDMC or Navyug Schools.

The NEET UG registration in Odia, Marathi and Gujarati languages has dipped in four years (2019-2022), as per data shared by the exam conducting agency National Testing Agency (NTA).
