NBEMS NEET SS 2025 Revised Exam Dates: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised the examination schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2025. Initially slated for November 7 and 8, the exam will now be held on December 27 and 28, 2025.
According to the official notification, the revised dates have received approval from both the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). While the announcement confirms the new schedule, it does not specify the reasons behind the postponement.
The NEET SS exam is held to admit candidates into various DM, MCh and DrNB Super Speciality courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, as no other exam, even at the state level or institutional will be considered valid to allow candidates entry in these courses.
The NEET SS 2025 examination will now be held on December 27 and 28. Each day it will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9 am to 11:30 am, and the second from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Alongside the revised dates, NBEMS has announced that the information bulletin for NEET SS 2025 will be released soon on its official website, natboard.edu.in. Candidates are advised to visit the portal regularly for further updates, detailed instructions, and important announcements related to the examination.
Last year, the NEET SS exam was conducted on September 9 and September 10 in CBT mode (Computer-Based Test) in two groups: morning and evening shift. Additionally, previous year candidates scoring more than 50 per cent qualified in NEET-SS in their respective field of speciality.
Last year, the National Board of Examination Medical Science (NBEMS) introduced two new changes in the exam pattern.
The two changes introduced by the Board are mentioned below; the rest of the scheme of examination stands the same as for all groups.
— For admissions to DM/DrNB Medical Oncology, there will be a separate question paper group (Medical Oncology Group). The questions in the paper of this group will be exclusively from the topics of medical oncology.
— For admissions to DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine, there will be a separate question paper group (Critical Care Medicine Group). The questions in the paper of this group will be exclusively from the topics of critical care medicine.
Candidates are advised to visit the NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in, for the final schedule of examination, eligibility criteria, fee structure, further changes in the scheme of examination (if any) and other details.
