Muslim girl scores 93 % in Ramayana exam, prepares for Mahabharata now

Fathimath Rohila, a student of Sarvodaya High School, topped the exam conducted by Bharatha Sanskriti Prathisthan in November 2015. The exam is more about literature and contains no religious content

A 13-year-old Muslim girl from Karnataka, has scored 93 per cent and topped the Ramayana exam.

Fathimath Rohila, a student of Sarvodaya High School, topped the exam conducted by Bharatha Sanskriti Prathisthan in November 2015. The exam is more about literature and contains no religious content. Around 39 students participated in the exam.

Fathimath is from Puttur district and has a keen interest in pursuing Hindi literature. She is now preparing for the Mahabharata exam.

Last year, Marryam Siddiqui, a Muslim girl, topping the Gita Champions League contest organised by ISKCON

The 12-year-old Class VI student of Cosmopolitan High School won the contest for explaining the teachings of the scripture in the best possible manner. Around 3,000 students participated in the event which was organised in January 2015.
