Students hoping to secure admission in Class 11 in the city will soon be able to check their first merit list for colleges as the first merit list for First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions will be released on June 21. Once released, candidates can check the merit list at the official website — 11thadmission.org.in.
The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for admission to junior colleges was held online and there were over 3.7 lakh seats across Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), including Panvel, Vasai and Bhiwandi.
After the first merit list is released today, students will be given a few days to confirm admission on the allotted seats. Remaining two CAP rounds will follow after completion of the first round. Students should remember that if a students is allotted a seat in the first preferred college, it is mandatory for the candidate to confirm the admission. If not done, he/she will not be considered for the next round.
For students taking admissions through quota, there will be two seat allotment lists under round zero of admission which covers seats under minority, management and in-house quota in colleges. The admission process for this will conclude on June 22.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai University will also release the first merit list for admissions to various colleges today. Once the first merit list is released, candidates have to do online verification of documents and submission of fees along with undertaking forms that can be done from June 20 to 27, till 3 pm.
