The Law Commission of India is inviting applications from LLB/LLM/Research students for assisting the commission in its legal/research/law reform projects. The law commission holds three internship programmes – summer internship (May-June), winter internship (November-December) and mid-term internship programmes.
This internship is only open for those students who are studying law at recognised colleges/schools/universities.
The duration of the internship is of four weeks which may be extended for another two weeks at the intern’s request by the competent authority. The law commission will pay no remuneration/expenses.
– the internship is available only for LLB/LLM/Research students.
– the student pursuing a three year law degree or a five year law degree should be in the second, third, fourth and fifth year.
– Interns would be required to help the commission in their legal research/law reform projects.
– Interns would be required to present a research paper at the end of their internship on a selected topic.
– The application needs to reach the Assistant Law Officer, Law Commission of India either by post/courier or by hand.
– Summer internship deadline – April 1
– Winter internship deadline – October 1
– Mid-term internship – Applications should reach 30 days in advance of the intended date of joining the internship.
