KCET 2024: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 examination due to the ensuing general election 2024. In a notification released on Wednesday, the Authority announced the postponement of the medical entrance test scheduled on April 25 and April 26 for disabled candidates.
The official notice addressed, “Medical examination to UGCET-2024 Physically Disabled candidates scheduled to be conducted on 25-04-2024 and 26-04-2024 is postponed in view of Lok Sabha General Elections. Fresh dates for medical examination will be notified on the KEA Website shortly.”
The exam for undergraduate candidates, UGCET 2024 was held from April 18 and April 19 in exam centres over the state in two shifts, first in the morning from 10:30 am to 11:50 am and second in the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. These candidates have time to raise objections against the question in the KCET exam till April 27.
This exam was also initially scheduled for April 20 and 21 but was preponed due to a date clash with the NDA exam. Additionally, the registration dates exam was extended several times, as per earlier notices.
The registration initially began on January 10, but the application form was not available on the server from January 13 to January 17. Therefore, the deadline was extended to February 20. Later, the window was reopened again from March 12 to 15 and then once more on March 30.
The State Examination Authority previously noted that many candidates have solely opted for NEET and neglected to apply for the CET for engineering. The authority stated that it would not issue admit cards to such candidates.
Additionally, it was also informed earlier that the application form can be edited after the exam has been conducted.
