The girls outperformed the boys in the examination with the former recording a pass percentage of 81% and the latter registering 65%. Just like other years, rural students recorded a higher pass percentage of 74%, which is 2% more than that of their urban counterparts.

— This year, only 1 student secured 625 marks, compared to last year when four students were able to achieve the same score.

— 624 marks were secured by 7 students for this year SSLC exam, while for 2023 SSLC exam was obtained by 17 students.

—  623 marks were secured by 14 students for this year SSLC exam, while for 2023 SSLC exam was obtained by 39 students.

—   622 marks were secured by 21 students for this year SSLC exam, while for 2023 SSLC exam was obtained by 64 students.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: Government schools were the second most top performing, receiving a passing percentage of 72.46 per cent. A total of 3,606 schools were enrolled, from which a total of 336533 students appeared for the exam and a total of 243851 students passed.

On the contrary, aided schools were the least performing school type obtaining the passing percentage of 72.22%. While a total of 3606 schools participated, out of which 207821 students appeared and 223720 students passed the exam.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: As a result of the low pass percentage, the board has enhanced the normalisation by increasing the grade marks from 10% to 20%, resulting in a pass percentage of 73%. The qualifying marks for the Karnataka SSLC exam have been reduced from 35% to 25%.

This year, a total of 14092 candidates appeared for the exam from Parvathipuram Manyam district, out of whom 13246 passed the exam. Whereas for the 2023 SSLC exam the district ranked 14.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: Considering the decline in pass percentage this year, as a remedial measure, education department will take up curative teaching in the next one month for all students who haven't done well in exam-1 or who want to improve their marks so that they are better prepared for exams 2 and 3.

"Since we have already introduced the new pattern of exam 1-2-3, the result of the student will be shown as NC (Not Completed) if not passed and after exam 2 and 3 the best marks among exam 1-2-3 will be awarded to the student and final result will be announced after exam 3.

We would like to stress that students still have exams 2 and 3 coming up and the Department is committed to support the students in these exams through extra classes in helping them pass the exam," the official press release stated.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: Considering the decline in pass percentage, the state government has decided to reduce the qualifying marks for attracting the grace from existing 35% to 25%, and grace marks has been increased from 10% to 20% in all subjects as one time measure for all 3 SSLC exams of 2024. After the normalisation, the pass percentage is 73.40%.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: For the first time, a new system of webcasting through CCTV's was introduced in all test centres. Control rooms were set up in all districts for monitoring the live feed. "This has been a path breaking innovation and has restored exam integrity and inculcated a habit of writing exams without resorting to unfair practices. This step has been welcomed by all stakeholders," KSEAB officials said.

However pass percentage has declined by 30 per cent over last year. Hence, the Government has decided to enhance the normalisation in the interest of students since the webcasting was a new intervention.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: The Karnataka board used to award grace marks to select group of students. Last year, a total of 59,246 students had benefited from 10 per cent grace marks. The grace marks were increased to 10 per cent from 5 per cent in 2022.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: In Karnataka SSLC results, rural areas outshined the urban area schools in 2023 as the pass percentage for rural areas stood at 87 per cent while for urban areas it was 79.62 per cent.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: Over 8.9 lakh students appeared for the KSEAB Matric exam 2024, which were conducted in two sessions at nearly 2,800 exam centres.

Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live: In 2023, a total of 1517 schools secured 100 per cent pass percentage. However, none of these schools were government schools. 482 aided schools and 1824 unaided schools also recorded 100 per cent result.

Last year, the pass percentage was 83.89 per cent, which was a drastic improvement from thenearly 71 per cent in 2019-20 (pre-pandemic years). Whether or not, this year the board will be able to cross 84 per cent is yet to be seen.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will today announce the SSLC results. Once announced in the press conference, the SSLC or Karnataka Class 10 marks will be available at the official websites — kseab.karnataka.gov.in or karresults.nic.in.

A total of 4,83,710 students appeared for SSLC exam in 2023 from rural areas compared to 3,51,392 students from urban areas. The pass percentage for rural areas, last year,  stood at 87 per cent while for urban areas it is 79.62 per cent

In 2022, the SSLC total pass percentage was 85.63 per cent, which was the highest recorded pass percentage in the past decade. This, however, did not include the 99 per cent pass percnetage of 2021 which was recorded simply because the exams were cancelled due to Covid-19 and KSEAB had to adopt alternate evaluation methods.

There is a chance the result link might be activated a little after the press conference is concluded. Last year, too, the press conference started at 12:30, but the result link was activated at 1 pm.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) on May 9 will release the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 results for the 2024 exams.
