The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is set to commence the online registration process for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025, on September 1. As per a note on the official website, the registration link was set to go live at 11 am, on the official portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/kset2025. However, the online link is yet to be activated.

KSET is a state-level examination conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as Assistant Professors in universities and colleges across Karnataka. Candidates can appear for any one of the 41 subjects offered, which span humanities, sciences, and professional disciplines such as Commerce, Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Law, and Education among others.

Last date for fee payment: September 19

Admit card release: October 24

Examination date: November 2

KSET 2025 registration: Eligibility criteria

The Government of Karnataka has directed KEA to conduct the KSET 2025, which is mandatory for candidates seeking eligibility as Assistant Professors. To apply, candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). The test will comprise two papers: Paper I will assess general teaching and research aptitude, while Paper II will be based on the candidate’s chosen subject.

KSET Registration 2025: How to apply?

Step 1: Visit the official website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, go to the Admissions tab and click on Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025.

Step 3: Click on the registration link and enter the required details to start the process.

Step 4: Fill in the online application form carefully.

Step 5: Pay the examination fee through the available online payment options.

Step 6: Upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.

Step 7: Review all details entered before final submission.

Step 8: Submit the application form. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

In addition to the information bulletin, the KEA has issued the syllabus for the KSET 2025 exam on the official website. Presently the syllabus has been made available for the subjects Tourism Administration and Management, Visual Arts, Urdu, and Women’s Studies.
