JEST 2020: The application process for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) has started. The last date to apply and make payment for the exam is December 14, 2019. The JEST 2020 will be held on February 16, 2020. Interested candidates can apply at the official website, jest.org.in.

Those who clear the exam will be eligible to take admission in PhD or integrated PhD programmes in Physics or theoretical computer science or neuroscience or computational Biology in the participating institutes. The list of institutes includes – VECC, UGC-DAE CSR, TIFR, TIFR-TCIS, SINP, RRI, RRCAT, NBRC, IMSc, IPR, IISER, IIA, ICTS, ARIES, Bose institute among others.

JEST 2020: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website, jest.org.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on ‘register/log-in’ link

Step 3: If you have not registered, click on ‘create new account’ or log-in using credentials

Step 4: Fill basic details and verify to register

Step 5: Use registered email id to log-in

Step 6: Fill form, upload documents

Step 7: Make payment

JEST 2020: Fee

Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 400 as an application fee. For reserved category candidates and females, the same is Rs 200. For females belonging to reserved categories, there is no fee applicable.

JEST is recognised as a National Eligibility Test for Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). The JEST exam score is valid for one year.
