JEE Mains 2025 Updates: Main exam starts from tomorrow; check last day guidelines 

JEE Main 2025 Day 2 Shift 1 Paper Analysis Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. JEE Main paper 1 or the BTech/BE paper will continue till January 30.

According to the JEE Main 2025 analysis shared by experts and feedback received from students, the session 1 day 1 morning shift exam was of ‘easy to moderate; level. The JEE Main cut-off is released after the declaration of session 2 result. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2025 exam are called for the counselling process.

The BE/ BTech paper is conducted in two shifts – the first shift was held from 9 am to noon and the second shift between 3 pm and 6 pm. Paper 2A (BArch), paper 2B (BPlanning) and papers 2A and 2B (BArch and BPlanning both) will be held on the second shift between 3 pm on 6.30 pm.

Candidates will have to carry their admit cards to the exam centre. The JEE Main 2025 official website to check and download the JEE Main 2025 admit card is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will have to use their login credentials to download and check the hall tickets or to check any other updates.

JEE Main 2025 Live Updates: How was Day 2 shift 1 Physics exam?

The Physics section was perceived as easy to moderate by most students. The majority of the questions were drawn from Class 12 topics, with relatively fewer from Class 11. Chapters like Mechanics, Waves, and Thermodynamics were less emphasized in this shift. However, Class 12 topics such as Optics and Electromagnetism had a stronger presence. Questions from Modern Physics were moderate in number, while chapters like Alternating Currents (AC), EMI, and Magnetism were underrepresented. Notably, there was a good number of instrument-related questions, adding variety to the section.

Ajay Kumar Sharma, national director of the Aakash Educational Services Limited, claims that among the three subjects, Physics was the easiest, followed by Chemistry, while Mathematics was the most challenging due to the lengthiness of its questions.

According to Kumar, the questions in Chemistry were predominantly easy, similar to the morning shift. There was a relatively lower representation of Physical Chemistry, with Organic and Inorganic Chemistry forming the majority. Assertion-reason (AR) type questions were also included and were primarily theoretical.

Chemistry

The paper covered all chapters uniformly. While most questions were manageable, a few theory-based questions were confusing. Topics like Electrochemistry, Kinetics, p-block, d-block, Thermodynamics, and Biomolecules featured prominently. Overall, the section offered balanced representation.

Mathematics

The Mathematics section ranged from moderate to difficult. Though the questions were not overly challenging, some questions involved lengthy calculations. Key topics included Probability, Matrices, Algebra, Calculus, Vectors, Coordinate Geometry, 3D, and Calculus being dominant. The paper was comprehensive, covering almost all important chapters. For many students, Mathematics appeared time-consuming, but balanced in coverage.

JEE Main 2025 Live Updates: NTA reschedules exam in one exam centre in Bengaluru

NTA which started the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) today has revised one exam centre in Bengaluru due to unavoidable reason of technical snag.
