A seat to the highest possible choice of academic programme is allocated to the candidate considering the following factors:
(i) The category [GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, ST-PwD] of the candidate.
(ii) The position of the candidate in respective rank list(s).
(iii) The order of preference of academic programs selected by the candidate.

As the JEE Advanced result 2025 result is now announced, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will conduct counselling for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other institutions. I always stay happy. Even now, when I get time, I play with children in my colony. I always remained confident about my preparation. However, I never followed a strict study schedule because it adds unnecessary pressure. I studied only when I felt like it, but made sure to make the most of that time. I only moved forward with a topic after clearing my doubts. My main focus was on not repeating mistakes, because eliminating errors is the only way to build a strong subject foundation.”
