IP University launches admission chatbot service for instant redressal of queries

Professor Udayan Ghosh, director, admission process said that the AI-based online service is capable of providing accurate and instant answers to all possible queries related to admissions in the new session.

The application for 46 master’s degree programmes, 40 PhD programmes, and 34 undergraduate degree programmes in the university is underway and the last date for online application for admission to all programmes at IP University is March 31, 2025. Any query related to admission can be easily answered through this chatbot, a university statement released in this regard said.

Commenting on the launch of this service, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Padmashri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma said: “This service has been launched keeping in mind the convenience of prospective applicants and applicants. Detailed information is available on the University’s websites – ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in.”

GGSIPU, this year, has introduced new courses in psychology and geoinformatics, expanding its academic offerings to cater to emerging industry needs.

The School of Liberal Arts at GGSIPU has incorporated psychology as the fourth major discipline within its 5-year BA-MA Liberal Arts Programme, alongside history, political science, and sociology. This interdisciplinary program, designed under the National Education Policy (NEP), aims to empower students with the knowledge and skills to analyze human behavior and thought processes.
