The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad and Marvell have launched a data acceleration and offload research facility at the campus. The facility includes data processor units, compute express links, processors, and network interface controllers.
A feature of the facility is the availability of comprehensive software solution frameworks, optimized for developing solutions that leverage Integrated packet processing, Cryptography, and AI/ML accelerators within Marvell silicon, read the press release.
Prof. BS Murty, director, IITH congratulated the team and emphasised that this partnership aligns with IITH’s commitment to advancing technological research and education, positioning the institute at the forefront of accelerated infrastructure development.
Last year, the IIT introduced the Centre of Excellence at the campus to provide advanced image technology with Nikon. The initiative aimed to empower researchers to explore biological systems at various scales— from single cells to human tissues—facilitating breakthroughs in high-resolution imaging.
