IIM-Lucknow, FPSB India to jointly offer certification programme in Financial Planning

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM L) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FPSB India to jointly launch a certification programme in Financial Planning. This programme by IIM Lucknow will be launched in the academic session 2024-25, and will be available to both students and working professionals.

This initiative combines academic excellence with professional certification, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills in financial planning. The new programme is set to cultivate a skilled workforce capable of meeting the sector’s evolving needs, IIM Lucknow said.

Through this partnership, IIM Lucknow is hoping to address the industry gap by preparing a new generation of financial planners equipped with the skills to offer holistic financial services. Another key feature of this partnership will be ’empowering individuals to pursue rewarding careers not just in India, but globally, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,’ IIM Lucknow said.

“As we navigate through an ever-evolving financial environment, equipping our students with the skills and knowledge to excel in financial planning is imperative. IIM Lucknow’s partnership with FPSB India is a step towards fulfilling this crucial need and fostering a generation of adept financial planners,” said Prof Vikas Srivastava, Dean (Programmes), IIM Lucknow.
