CA Intermediate, Final Result Declared Updates: Meet the toppers of Nov 2023 ICAI exam

Madhur Jain, a 22-year-old from Jaipur, is not the first Chartered Accountant (CA) in his family, but he is the first to bag an All India Rank (AIR) 1. Madhur scored 619 (77.8 per cent) in his first attempt, which helped him bag AIR 1.

“The CA syllabus is so vast that it gets frustrating. By the time you are done with your coaching classes, everything gets wiped from your memory because it is nearly impossible to remember such a vast syllabus. To overcome this problem, I did at least three rounds of revisions for most subjects but four rounds for ‘Cost and Management Accounting’ and ‘Audit’. The first two rounds of revisions helped me brush up on what I had studied in the coaching classes and the third round helped me retain the important concepts,” he said.

Sanskruti and Shruti Atul Parolita, 22-year-old twins from Mumbai, have cleared the ICAI CA Final November 2023 with an All India Rank (AIR) 3 and 8 respectively. Candidates will also be given the provision to verify their CA Inter and Final November 2023 exam results. The icai.nic.in website will announce the CA November 2023 result scorecard verification date.

Jain Akshay Ramesh: 616/800 marks or 77 per cent 

Kalpesh Jain G: 603/800 marks or 75.38 per cent.

Prakhar Varshney: 574/ 800 marks or 71.75 per cent

AIR 3 CA inter topper, Rishi Malhotra, started preparing for CA in 2019. Even though Rishi took coaching classes during his CA journey, he wrapped up those classes a year before appearing for the Final exam and concentrated on his revision. What helped him the most, he says, is the notes that he prepared on his own.

Rishi Malhotra scored 590 (73.75 per cent) in the ICAI CA Final November 2023 exam and bagged the All India Rank (AIR) 3. Rishi wanted to pursue medical field but since his parents wanted him to stay in Jaipur, he opted for Commerce. Although he scored 95.4% in Class 12 board exams, he was unable to get a spot in top 3 DU colleges, and decided to pursue his CA dream.

Jay Devang Jimulia from Mumbai emerged as the topper of the CA inter November 2023 examinations. Jimulia scored of 691 marks out of 800, which corresponds to 86.38 per cent.

In the CA inter Group 1, as many as 19,686 have passed out of the total 1,17,304 candidates appearing, taking the pass percentage to 16.78. Similarly in CA group 2 inter exams, 17,957 candidates passed out of 93,638 taking the pass percentage to 19.18 pass percentage. In both groups, 53,459 candidates appeared and only 5,204 passed. The overall pass percentage is 9.73.

As many as 8,650 candidates qualify as CAs in the November 2023 exam. 

Sharing a disclaimer on the icai.org result link, the ICAI said: "The result given is correct at the time of release of the result by the Institute which accepts no responsibility thereafter for errors or omissions caused as a result of their transmission via the Internet or their downloading or printing by the user."

In the ICAI CA Group 1 final exam, the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam was 65,294 and among them, only 6,176 passed. The pass percentage of group 1 final exam is 9.46 per cent. While for group 2, the total number of candidates appearing in the CA final November 2023 exam was 62,679 and only 13,540 cleared ICAI CA final exams making the overall pass percentage 9.42 per cent.

As per data shared by the ICAI, the CA inter exams were held in 563 exam centres.

The ICAI has also announced the CA Intermediate Examination - UNITS Results. The score cards of the ICAI CA inter UNITS result can be accessed by using the registration numbers and roll numbers.

The CA inter November 2023 AIR 1 Jay Devang Jimulia scored 691 marks out of 800. His overall pass percentage is 86.38 per cent. The AIR 2 scored 688 marks, while the AIR 3 obtained 668 marks out of 800 in the CA inter November 2023 exam.

The CA November 2023 final AIR 1 scored 619 marks (77.38 per cent). The AIR 2 scored  599 marks (74.88 per cent) and the AIR 3 which is shared by two candidates scored 590 marks (73.75 per cent).

In the ICAI CA Group 1 final exam, the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam was 65,294 and among them, only 6,176 passed. The pass percentage of group 1 final exam is 9.46 per cent. While for group 2, the total number of candidates appearing in the CA final November 2023 exam was 62,679 and only 13,540 cleared making the overall pass percentage 9.42 per cent.

For group 2 of Inter exams, as many as 93,638 students appeared and only 17,957 qualified the ICAI CA inter exams. The pass percentage for group 2 ICAI CA inter exam is 19.18 per cent.

In the ICAI CA Group 1 inter exam, the number of candidates appeared were 1,17,304 and among them only 19,686 passed. The pass percentage of group 1 inter exam is 16.78 per cent. In the 2022 exam, a total of 1,00,265 students had appeared in Group A out of which 21,244 were pass.

To check merit list, students will have to key in their 6 digit roll number.

Credentials including ICAI registration numbers, roll numbers and date of birth will be needed to login and check the result.

Candidates had to score at least 40 per cent in each paper and a minimum of 50 per cent overall in each group to qualify the ICAI CA inter and CA final November 2023 exam.

The ICAI website to check and download the CA inter and CA final results is icai.nic.in.

The CA inter and CA final results for the November 2023 exam are out at icai.nic.in. Candidates will be required to key in their roll number, registration number and captcha code to access the ICAI result.

The ICAI has announced that the next Computer Based Examination for Post Qualification Course -- Diploma on Management and Business Finance which is open to eligible members will be held between January 29 and February 3. Candidates are required to apply on-line at dmbf.icaiexam.icai.org from January 15 to 19 and remit the examination fee on-line.

ICAI will declare the CA inter and CA final results of November 2023 exam today. The icai.nic.in result, icaiexam.icai.org results are the official ICAI website to check CA inter and CA final result 2023.

The icai.nic.in website has not yet mentioned any ICAI CA inter result Nov 2023 time. However, the icaiexam.icai.org results Nov 2023 website says that the ICAI CA inter and CA final result date is January 9.

Along with the CA inter and final November 2023 results, ICAI will also announce the results of the Post Qualification Course Examinations -- International Taxation Assessment Test and Insurance and Risk Management today, January 9. The icai.org website will host the ICAI CA November 2023 results.

Candidates who pass their CA November 2023 final exams will become eligible for ICAI membership.

ICAI has not announced the CA Foundation December 2023 result date. The ICAI CA December 2023 Foundation exam was held between December 24 and 30.

ICAI will also release a CA Inter and Final merit list while announcing the icai.org 2023 results. ICAI will likely announce the top all India rank holders in the CA November 2023 inter and final merit lists. 

ICAI announced a new education and training for the CA course. The CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final new scheme 2023 came into effect on July 1, 2023. The first session for CA intermediate and final under the new scheme will be held in May 2024.

ICAI held the CA inter group 1 exams on November 2, 4, 6 and 8 and group 2 exams on November 10, 13, 15 and 17, 2023. The CA final group 1 exams were conducted on November 1, 3, 5, 7 and CA final group 2 exams on November 9, 11, 14 and 16, 2023.

Candidates will have to score at least 40% in each paper and a minimum of 50% overall in each group to successfully clear the ICAI CA inter and CA final November 2023 exam.

The ICAI CA November 2023 exam result will be announced soon. As per confirmation from ICAI officials, the CA results will be out by 10 am.

The icai.org website is not loading. 

Students will be required to keep the ICAI CA November 2023 final admit cards ready to check the CA results. The ICAI registration number and date of birth are the required credentials to check and access the CA November 2023 final results.

The ICAI will release CA Intermediate and final results around 9:30-10 am, a senior official told indianexpress.com

Last year, the CA final exam was topped by Akshay Ramesh Jain from Ahmedabad with 616 marks out of 800, followed by Kalpesh Jain of Chennai with 603 marks and Prakhar Varshney with 574 marks.

"Chartered Accountancy wasn’t actually my original plan. I wanted to pursue the five-year integrated programme in management at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. But, I couldn’t score well in the IPMAT due to a lack of preparation time. It was then that one of my uncles who is also a CA suggested that I pursue this. After much deliberation, I went ahead with his suggestion and gave the ICAI Common Proficiency Test (CPT) as well as enrolled myself in the Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) course at Gujarat University," the topper said.

A total of 1,00,265 candidates took CA Inter Group 1 exam in December 2022 exam of which 21,244 candidates passed the exam. As mnay as 79,292 candidates appeared in Group 2 exam of which 19,380 candidates passed the exam.

A candidate who fails in one or more papers comprised in a group but secures a minimum of 60% of the marks in any paper or papers of that group will be eligible to appear at any one or more of the immediately next three following examinations in the paper or papers in which he had secured less than 60% marks and shall be declared to have passed in that group if he secures at one attempt a minimum of 40% marks in each of such paper or papers and a minimum of 50% of the total marks of all the papers of that group including that paper or papers in which he had secured a minimum of 60% marks in the earlier examination referred to above, if he was present in all the papers of that group and has already exhausted earlier exemption, if any, granted to him in that group.

To successfully clear ICAI CA inter exam, candidates need to score at least 40% in each individual paper and a minimum of 50% overall in each group.

ICAI has not announced any CA foundation result date. The CA December 2023 foundation exam was held between December 24 and 30.
