ACIO (II) Executive Recruitment 2025: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has issued a notice for the recruitment of ACIO (II) Executive. This year, a total of 3,717 posts are up for grabs by candidates. The online application process will begin on July 19, 2025, and will continue until August 10, 2025. This recruitment notice is for the position of Grade II/Executive in various categories. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply through the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs at mha.gov.in.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (IB ACIO) posts in 2025, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. While basic computer proficiency is not mandatory, it is considered desirable and can enhance a candidate’s profile.

In terms of age criteria, applicants should be between 18 and 27 years old as of August 10, 2025. These requirements aim to ensure that selected candidates possess both the academic foundation and the adaptability needed for a dynamic intelligence role.

Application fees

Applicants belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 650, while candidates from SC, ST, and PWD categories are required to pay Rs 550. The fee must be paid online. Candidates must complete the application process through the official Ministry of Home Affairs website. The application link will go live on July 19, 2025, and the deadline for submission is August 10, 2025.

Exam Pattern

The selection process comprises a written examination, a descriptive test, an interview, document verification, and a medical examination. The written exam will feature 100 objective-type questions worth a total of 100 marks, to be completed within 1 hour. A penalty of one-fourth of a mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. This will be followed by a descriptive test carrying 50 marks, and then an interview worth 100 marks.

The IB ACIO, or Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer, is a Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted) position under India’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). This role plays a vital part in safeguarding national security. IB ACIO officers are responsible for collecting and analysing intelligence, conducting surveillance activities, and executing field operations.
