Anika Joshi scored a perfect 800/ 800 in the exam. 

"I was already preparing for my board exams when CUET UG was confirmed. Our board exams were conducted in two terms and after my second term exam was held, I started focusing on CUET. A lot of syllabus was deleted from my board exams so I charted out the entire syllabus for CUET and identified my weaknesses," 19 year old Joshi said.

The two new subjects added in CUET UG are fashion studies and tourism.

Last year, the subjects with the highest number of top scorers were English, Biology, and Economics, in that order. Furthermore, in 2023, over 1000 students attained 100 percentile scores in subjects like Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, Economics, English, History, and Political Science, highlighting exceptional performance across various academic disciplines.

In 2023, more than 22,000 candidates scored 100 percentile marks. 

As per the official information provided by NTA to indianexpress.com the CUET UG 2024 city intimation slip will release on May 6. 

The subjects with the least number of registrations are Sindhi language (8 registrations), Konkani (9 registrations), Maithali (50 registrations), Tibetan (41 registrations), Italian (51 registrations), Dogri (77 registrations), Russian (86 registrations) and Chinese (93 registrations).

Like last year, this year too English has the highest number of test takers. The number of students who have registered for English has increased from 7.19 lakh in 2023 to 10.07 lakh in 2024. This is followed by the general test in which 8.34 lakh students.

In addition to English and General test at the first two spots, the top five subjects with the highest number of registrations are chemistry, physics and mathematics, respectively.

Several social media posts are claiming that the question paper is leaked.

“Where the instances of ‘paper leak’ being claimed are completely false and it is being done just to sensationalise the news. In an isolated incident at Girls Higher Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, Hindi-medium students were given English medium question paper by mistake and by the time the invigilator was correcting the mistake, students forcefully walked out of the exam hall with the question paper.

As per the rules students are only allowed to exit the hall with the question paper after the exam, but some students walked out forcefully. Due to this, the question paper was circulated on the internet around 4 pm, but by that time the exam had already started at all other centres across the country. So, there has not been any ‘leak’ of the NEET UG question paper,” a senior NTA official told indianexpress.com.

As per the official announcement, CISCE will announce the Class 10, 12 board results on May 6 at 11 am. As soon as the result is declared, students will be able to access it from the official website – cisce.org or results.cisce.org.

Chemistry, Biology and English and General test will be conducted on May 15 from 10 to 11 am, 12:15 to 1 pm, 3 to 3:45 pm and 5 to 6 pm respectively. Economics, Hindi, Physics and Mathematics will be conducted on May 16 from 10 to 11 am, 12:15 to 1 pm, 3 to 4 pm, 5:15 to 6:15 pm respectively.

This will be followed by Geography, Physical Education, Business Studies and Accountancy from 10 to 10:45 am, 12 to 12:45 pm, 3 to 3:45 pm and 6 to 7 pm respectively. The last offline exam will be held on May 18 for History, Political Science and Sociology, that will be conducted from 1:30 to 2:15 pm, 3:30 to 4:15 pm and 5:30 to 6:15 pm respectively.

NTA this year has changed the host website address for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG). The new website is exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. Earlier, all the information was uploaded on cuet.samarth.ac.in.

Further, all CUET UG related information — admit cards, result, notifications etc — will be released on the new platform launched by NTA.

First CBT mode exam will be conducted on may 21 in three shifts — 9 to 11:15 am, 1:15 to 2:45 pm, and 4:45 to 6:15 pm:

"The National Testing Agency is likely to announce the City of Examination information for CUET-UG by 5th May or earlier. Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website will begin in the second week of May 2024," UGC Chief tweeted.
