Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan was established by Rabindranath Tagore in 1921. The University offers various undergraduate degrees including BA, BSc, BFA and more. The admissions to all undergraduate courses will be conducted through the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

The university offers BA in Bengali, English, Hindi, Odiya, Philosphy, Maths, History among others. In BSC, the varsity offers specialisation in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Statistics, Computer Science. Other than these, it offers three years BA Programme and four years, BSc Agriculture, Bachelors in Fine Arts among others.

Hostel

The number of hostels for boys is 12 and the number of inmates: is 1066. The facilities include: electricity, purified drinking water, kitchen, hospital, gymnasium, telephones, television, common room, visitor’s room, indoor games etc.
