CUET PG 2024 result out, NTA announces subject-wise toppers

CUET PG Result 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on April 12 announced the CUET PG 2024 result. The result link is available at the official website — pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. Students are required to login at the candidate portal and enter their application number and date of birth. The NTA has also announced the subject-wise toppers.

This year, the exam was conducted between March 11 to March 28 as a computer based test (CBT) throughout India and in 24 cities outside India. CUET PG 2024 was conducted for about 4,62,603 unique registered candidates who were administered 7,68,414 tests. A total of 190 universities (central/state/private and others) are participating in CUET PG this year, an NTA statement said while releasing the result.

The total number of registered candidates increased from 607648 in 2022 to 877492 in 2023. However, there was a fall to 768414 this year. The number of appeared candidates, though, has increased since the debut year — 334997 in 2022 to 539776 in 2023, and 577400 in 2024.

This year, a total of 4.6 lakh students had registered for CUET PG 2024, which is a slight increase from last year’s 4.5 lakh registrations.

As per the data shared by NTA, the number of female registrations is higher than male registrations, similar to last year’s trend.

However, the number was higher than last year’s participation, i.e. 2.49 lakh female students, 2.09 lakh male candidates and 11 transgender students. Last year, a total 459083 students (unique) registered for the exam.

Category-wise number, NTA has registered a slight increase in almost all categories. A total of 68910 registrations from the EWS category, of which 53434 candidates appeared for the exam. A total of 289039 general candidates registered and 214637 appeared, which is an increase from last year’s 166548 candidates of general category. Last year’s 52088 SC category candidates increased to 63866 this year, 38767 from ST category increased to 40682 this year, and 163807 from OBC category increased to 204781 this year.
