CTET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam today, December 14.  The CTET 2024 December exam will be held on December 14 in two shifts for a duration of two-and-half-hours for two papers — paper 1 (for Class 1 to 5) and paper 2 (for Class 6 to 8).

Here is the list of guidelines that students need to follow on the CTET exam day to avoid any chaos.

The Board released the CTET admit card 2024 on December 12. Candidates have to download the hall ticket and bring the physical copy along with an Aadhaar card or any other government-approved id card, and a passport-size picture.

CTET 2024: What to carry and what can’t?

Candidates will also have to bring their water bottles for personal use. No candidate will be allowed to take any communication device, calculators, smartwatches, or Bluetooth devices inside the exam hall. No bags, wallets, written material, study notes, guides or unnecessary accessories are allowed in the examination.

CTET 2024: Reporting time

The candidates shall report at the examination centre at 7:30 am for paper – II (morning) and at 12:30 pm for paper– I (evening) to be held on December 14 i.e. 120 minutes before the start of the examination. Candidates who report at the examination centre after 9:30 am in paper 2 (morning) and after 2:30 pm in paper- I (evening) to be held on December 14 shall not be allowed to appear in the examination.

CTET 2024: Passing marks

To clear the exam, the candidates need to secure 60 per cent marks out of 150 marks. For reserved category candidates, the cut-off is 55 per cent which comes to around 82 marks out of 150. Those who clear the CTET will be eligible to seek a job as a teacher in CBSE-affiliated schools.

Candidates who pass the part-I exam will be eligible to teach in classes 1 to 5 and those who wish to teach in classes 6 to 8 will have to clear part-II.

The validity period of the CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for a lifetime for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take to acquire a CTET certificate. A person who has qualified for CTET may also appear again to improve his/her score.
