CSIR UGC NET December 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the city intimation slips for the CSIR UGC NET 2025 December session exam. Candidates registered to appear for the national level eligibility test can download by visiting the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.

On the official candidate portal, candidates will be required to enter their personal credentials such as CSIR UGC NET application number and date of birth, followed by the Captcha code, to login and download their exam-city intimation slip.

The examination is scheduled to be conducted on December 18. This is only an advance intimation of the exam city allotted, indicating the location of the examination centre to facilitate candidates. The admit card for the examination will be issued separately.

CSIR-UGC NET city slips: How to download

Step 1: Visit the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the city slip link given on the homepage

Step 3: Enter your credentials, such as application number and date of birth

Step 4: Submit and view the CSIR UGC NET city intimation slips

Step 5: Download and save the city intimation slips.

This year, the joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 will be conducted on a single day—December 18, in two sessions—for five subjects: Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The national-level exam will be held as a computer-based test (CBT) to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and PhD admissions.

In the June 2025 session, the test was administered in two shifts and covered five subjects. Out of the 1,95,241 candidates who registered for the exam, a total of 1,47,732 candidates appeared. Of the total registered candidates, 1,14,339 were female, with 86,777 appearing for the exam.

Male candidates accounted for 80,894 registrations, out of which 60,950 appeared. Additionally, eight candidates from the third gender registered for the test, with five appearing on the exam day.

The Joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination saw varied participation across disciplines, with Life Sciences drawing the highest number of candidates—78,949 registered and 60,213 appearing.
