BPSC AEDO Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced recruitment for Assistant Education Development Officers (AEDO) under the Education Department, Bihar. A total of 935 vacancies have been announced. Once online registration process begins, candidates will be able to apply online through the official website at bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the online application process will begin on August 27, and will be continued till September 26, 2025. The recruitment drive offers a total of 935 posts for Assistant Education Development Officers, distributed across different categories. Out of these, 374 posts are for Unreserved (UR) candidates, 131 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 150 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 10 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 168 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 112 for Backward Classes (BC), and 90 for Backward Class Women (BCW).
Additionally, in accordance with 35% horizontal reservation for women, 319 posts are reserved across categories. For example, 131 posts are earmarked for women in the Unreserved category, 53 for EWS, 53 for SC, 4 for ST, 59 for EBC, 39 for BC, and 30 for BCW.
The selection process for BPSC ADEO Recruitment 2025 will be conducted through a competitive written examination followed by document verification. Candidates must first complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) and submit their applications online through the BPSC portal.
The written exam will consist of three papers, and only those securing the required qualifying marks will move forward. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo document verification, and the final merit list will be prepared based solely on the marks obtained in the written examination.
The written examination consists of three objective-type papers, each carrying 100 marks with a duration of two hours.

Note that the exam will have negative marking – for each incorrect answer, one-third of a mark will be deducted.
The syllabus for the examination is divided into three key sections as follows:
General language: Focuses on comprehension and understanding in both English and Hindi.
General studies: Includes General Science, current national and international events, Indian and Bihar history, Indian polity, economy, and geography (with emphasis on Bihar’s divisions and rivers), post-independence economic changes in Bihar, and Bihar’s contribution to the national freedom movement.
General aptitude: Covers topics such as number systems, percentages, averages, profit & loss, time-work-distance problems, algebra, trigonometry, mensuration, statistics, series, coding-decoding, direction sense, and blood relations.
