For the first year and second year examinations the first paper will be second language paper 1 and the exams for the first year will end with Modern Language paper 1 and Geography paper 1 and for the second year it will end with Modern Language paper 2 and Geography paper 2. And, 31,293 students appeared for the second year exams out of which 19,430 students (62 per cent) passed. As per data shared by the AP govt, a total of 8,13,033 general students, 67,324 vocational and 73,998 private candidates appeared for the exam. A total of 49,945 absentees were recorded.
Some districts like Vizianagaram have performed poorly in the AP Inter exams 2023. AP education minister Botcha said, "They would review districts where a low pass percentage was recorded."
In the AP Inter results, the girls have once again outshone the boys as 75 per cent of IPE second-year girls qualified for the test as against 68 per cent boys. Among first-year students, 65 percentage girls and 58 percentage boys passed the exam.

BIEAP will award extra two marks to students who appeared in the Physics exam. As stated by board, there was one error in English medium Physics paper because of which two marks will be given for all students who attempted that question

To pass the IPE 1st year and 2nd year exams, the students need to secure 35 per cent or more marks. In case they flunk, BIEAP will conduct the compartment exams.
