
Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) will be held today as per its schedule, state Health and Medical Education Minister Kamineni Srinivas said on April 28.
The Supreme Court has cleared the decks for holding of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), a single common entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses, in two phases for the academic year 2016-17 in which around 6.5 lakh candidates are likely to appear.

Referring to the apex court order, the minister said, “The Supreme Court has given a judgment for national level exam for medical studies. It will be decided based on the final out come of the judgment.”
“States like Andhra Pradesh possess special protection under Article 371D and the AP EAMCET exam that comprises MBBS,
veterinary, agriculture and BDS, will be conducted on Friday without any changes. This was decided after consultations at higher level,” the minister said.
