AHSEC Assam Board HS 12th Result 2023 Updates: Sagar Agarwal of Vivekananda Senior Secondary School, Cachar (482 marks) was the Commerce topper in Assam HS Class 12 2022 results. Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita of Deomoroni HS School bagged the first position in Science stream with 491 marks. Sadhana Devi of Kamrupa Girls’ Senior Secondary School and Cherry Gohain of Womens College Tinsukia topped in 2022 with 487 marks.

The overall pass percentage for the Arts stream is 70.12 per cent, Commerce stands at 79.57 per cent, Science students achieved 84.96 per cent and the Vocational stream is at 85.61 per cent. The pass percentage has dipped in all streams. In 2022, the pass percentage of Arts stream was 83.48 per cent, Commerce had 87.26 per cent and Science recorded 92.19 per cent.

"Last year, AHSEC took 76 days to evaluate 2,05,625 candidates. This year, it took 77 days to evaluate 3,29,901 candidates, an excess of 1,24,276 from last year. We strive to lessen the time period of result declaration in the coming years," he said.
"For those who could not do well this time, remember ~ We always have the power to work harder to achieve success. Do not give up. There is always a new beginning," the state CM said.

In the Science stream, a total of 46383 appeared for the exams, out of which 18868 students got the first division, 16455 got second division and 4082 students got the third division.

In the Commerce stream, a total of 20417 appeared for the exams, out of which 5254 students got the first division, 6486 got second division and 4505 students got the third division.
In the Arts stream, a total of 28651 students got the first division, 58869 got second division and 95660 students got the third division.

In 2020, the HS or Class 12 results were declared on May 25 at 9 am. The pass percentage for Science stream was recorded at 88.06 per cent, Commerce stream recorded 88.18 per cent pass percentage and Arts stream recorded 78.28 per cent pass percentage.
In 2021, the results were declared on July 31 at 9 am. Due to the pandemic, the board exams were cancelled and marks were given on the basis of internals, assessments and past year performance. The overall pass percentage stood at 98.93 per cent.
In 2022, Arts stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 83.48 per cent, Commerce stream at 87.26 per cent and Science stream 92.19 per cent.

The candidates who wish to get a photocopy of their Answer Scripts may also visit https://ahsec.assam.gov.in/ for applying online. The online platform for application for photocopy of Answer Scripts will be opened after 10 days from the day of declaration of results.
In case of any difficulty in applying online for rechecking of Answer Scripts or Photocopy of Answer Scripts, an email may be sent to-itahsec@gmail.com.
The candidates who wish to get their Answer Scripts rechecked may visit https://ahsec.assam.gov.in/ for applying online. The online platform for application for rechecking will be opened after two days from the day of declaration of results.

This time, a total of 3,42,869 students registered for the class 12 exams this year. 2.72 lakh students registered for the Arts Stream, 47, 485 from the Science stream and 20,907 from the Commerce stream.
This time, the resukts are being delayed earlier than the past years' trends. Last year, the AHSEC declared the Class 12 boards result on June 27 at 9 am
This year, the exams were held between February 20 and March 20 and were conducted in two shifts, morning shift and evening shift. In the morning shift the exams were held from 9 am and concluded at 12 pm and for the evening shift, the exam began at 1:30 pm and ended at 4:30 pm.
