Opposition MPs from even non-Congress were excited to see Rahul Gandhi as the Congress leader entered Lok Sabha on Monday after a four months-plus hiatus. BSP’s Danish Ali was one of the first to walk up to Rahul to congratulate him. NCP’s Mohammad Faizal, who had move the Supreme Court to return to the Lok Sabha after his conviction was stayed, went to the MP from Wayanad and shook hands with him. Others from DMK, NCP, TMC and IUML were also seen rushing to Rahul to greet him. Mission Education
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is on a new mission: he wants to see that Indian education institutions get a significant number of foreign students. The Education Ministry has already identified 250 institutes and 2,600 courses to offer to students from various countries. The Education Ministry is working with the Ministry of External Affairs to create a single platform for facilitating education services to students from abroad. The ministry has already written to all Indian missions abroad to start working on it and there will be roadshows and a massive campaign to attract foreign students to these institutes, which include IITs, IIMs, central universities and private institutions, it is learnt.
