Delhi Confidential: Sharing updates on Covid-19

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will organise an event in the litigants’ canteen on the court premises to celebrate Christmas on Monday. An invite from the SCBA said that this will be association’s first such event, and that Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud will attend as chief guest.

Maharashtra-cadre IPS officer Rashmi Shukla, who is currently heading the Sashastra Seema Bal, is set to take over as Maharashtra DGP in a week or so. Sources said the authorities have already set the ball rolling in this regard. Shukla, who was accused of allegedly tapping phones of Opposition leaders during the 2014-19 tenure of Devendra Fadnavis government when she was the intelligence wing chief, was recently cleared of all charges by the Bombay High Court.
