The minister said that while returning from Patna on Friday, he was pleasantly surprised to find Rudy — who has a commercial pilot’s licence — as the co-pilot of his flight. Chouhan took photographs with Rudy and later praised him, noting how engagingly he shared flight-related information with passengers. Back To Basics AFTER ABORTING a proposed shift to blue suits for its officials, the Supreme Court has also dropped the blue colour and logo on its official app and returned to the original version. The proposed uniform change and new logo were introduced during the tenure of former Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud but discontinued by his successors. EPIC Rethink AS PART of its Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, the Election Commission had planned to give all registered electors new Electors’ Photo Identity Card. The poll panel had said so in a press release in August and the Bihar Chief Electoral Officer’s office had even floated a tender for printing 7.50 crore EPICs. So when on Sunday, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said in Patna that only new electors and those with corrections in their EPICs would be given new cards, it marked a reversal of the EC’s previously stated plans. It is learnt that the time duration and cost of printing new cards as well as the lack of good quality photos of all electors led to the rethink.
