As per police reports, on March 8, police post Soibug (Budgam) received an application from one Tanveer Ahmad Khan, stating that his sister, Arifa Shafi, had left for coaching classes on March 7 but did not return home. “A missing report was registered and investigation was initiated,” Budgam SP Tahir Gilani said.

He further revealed that he had chopped the woman’s body into several pieces and buried those at different locations. The body parts have been recovered,” the SP said.
He added that the accused led the police to the parts of the body. “While the head of the deceased was found at the house of the accused, the torso was found under a bridge and the limbs were found in a water tank close to his house,” he added.
