The Kharar police arrested two persons and recovered 1.4 kg opium from them. Those arrested were identified as Shahbeen and Sanjeev Kumar. Both were arrested from near the railway station. The police team had a tip-off about the alleged drug smugglers. Police booked both the accused under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
