Whistle stop : Shootout is On

Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala, that has been in pre-production for long, was launched on Wednesday afternoon at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios.

The wait is finally over. Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala, that has been in pre-production for long, was launched on Wednesday afternoon at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios. The event saw the cast and crew in full attendance. Anil Kapoor,John Abraham,Kangna Ranaut,Tusshar,Mahesh Manjrekar,Sonu Sood,Ronit Roy,co-producer Ekta Kapoor and director Apoorva Lakhia spoke excitedly about the film. All eyes were, however,on the young debutant Siddhant Kapoor, son of Shakti Kapoor, who is hoping to make it big in Bollywood, much like his father.

Camera Shy

Even though Mani Ratnam is her uncle,Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s younger daughter,Akshara, has refused to make a debut in his film and is focussing on a career in filmmaking instead. Apparently,Ratnam wanted to launch her in a love story, but as is his style, the script was not straightforward. Unlike her elder sibling Shruti,Akshara has not displayed any interest in facing the camera. We wonder if Shruti is hoping that the offer will slip into her lap now.

Puppy Love

Actor Kratika Sengar, who plays the female lead Aarti on Punar Vivaah, landed up one morning with a scratch dangerously close to her lips. Apparently,it was her pet Beagle,Donut’s doing. “But the crew and cast did not believe me,so I decided to bring him on the sets,” says Kratika, who walked in with Donut, her ‘official date’ for the day. So tagging along with her on a leash was the four month-old Beagle puppy, who made a dramatic entry and was everyone’s pet in a minute.
