Who will Play Sobhraj?

Many years ago,director Prawal Raman had planned to make a biopic on Charles Sobhraj,with Sanjay Dutt as the lead. However,the film was shelved for reasons not known. Now it appears that Kumar Mangat is all set to produce the same biopic. But the choice of actors has now changed,with Saif Ali Khan and Emraan Hashmi being considered to play Sobhraj. The deal is yet to be signed,though going by current box-office ratings,Hashmi seems a more likely candidate.

Arjuns on a High

Arjun Kapoor is certainly riding high on the success of his debut film,Ishaqzaade. With the movie opening to good business,Kapoor has become the go-to actor for many directors. But since he is under a contract with Yashraj Films,the directors working under the banner will enjoy the first preference. Among the filmmakers who have approached him is Pradeep Sarkar,who is believed to have offered him a role in his new film a few days ago. Now one hears that Shimit Amin,too,is keen to cast him in his next film. Amin also wants to repeat Kapoors pairing with Parineeti Chopra; looks like the duos onscreen chemistry has paid off dividends.
