Jana Gana Mana, the directorial debut for Amit Abhyankar, will be screened at the National Film Archives of India (NFAI),on February 21. The screening is part of a charitable event hosted by Shree Ram Krishna Charities Trust,an organisation which believes in free education to all irrespective of caste, class and creed. The trust operates from Aundh and runs a secondary school,Bharat Vidyalay in Wai. Free education is provided to the poorer sections of the villages in and around Wai along with free text books, uniforms and food. Currently, more than 250 students are enrolled in the school. The film’s plot is relevant to the problems faced by the organisation in Wai as it focuses on the issues involved in the education system of tribal regions.
