Ashok Naidu,a Pune-based biker,has been nominated as “Power Biker of The Year” by XBHP magazine. “I have been biking for over 45 years now,” says Naidu,who currently rides a Royal-Enfield 350 UCE Bullet. He had been nominated for the same award two years ago as well,and was one of the top six contestants that year. “The magazine will get thousands of entries from all over India,” he says,adding that his selection will depend on online votes. “After the selection,there will be a long process — tests,interviews and questions about our social initiatives,” he says. The voting will take place till September 15 on XBHP’s website.

Sweet somethings

Godrej Nature’s Basket organised a wine and chocolate pairing session at its new outlet at Koregaon Park,Lane 5. While fruity wines were paired with creamy white chocolate mixed with bits of strawberries,red wines were offered with dark chocolates. The tip given to the participants at the tasting session was to make sure that the wines were not sweeter than the chocolate. Chocolate artists made paintings with coloured chocolates on the hands of the participants and the best art work won prizes.
