Trustee of Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal (ASPM) Vijay Ganesh Dixit (74) passed away on Saturday night after a brief illness. Dixit was working as a trustee of ASPM for the last 50 years and was one of the active members in arranging Savai Gandharva Music Festival.
He was associated with ASPM from its inception had worked with Pt Bhimsen Joshi and Gangubai Hangal in arranging Savai Gandharva Music Festival. He was also instrumental in building Savai Gandharva Smarak on Ganesh Khind Road. He was also chairman of DSK Motors Ltd and director of D S Kulkarni Developers Ltd and Ambience Ventures Estates Ltd.
