Two more Pawars, including Ajit, pick up nomination forms for Baramati
The NCP has declared Sunetra Pawar, wife of Ajit Pawar, as its candidate while the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) has declared sitting MP Supriya Sule as its candidate for Baramati.
In an election that will decide who from the Pawar family will rule Baramati, both sides contesting the seat are not taking any risk. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar of NCP and Sunanda Pawar of NCP (SP) have collected forms from the election office to submit their nominations in case the declared candidates, Sunetra Pawar of NCP and Supriya Sule of NCP (SP), are disqualified on technical grounds.
The NCP has declared Sunetra Pawar, wife of Ajit Pawar, as its candidate while the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) has declared sitting MP Supriya Sule as its candidate for Baramati. The contest within the Pawar family due to the split in the NCP after Ajit Pawar joined the NDA has become an interesting battle in the Lok Sabha elections.
The voting for Baramati is on May 7 while filing of nominations is going on with April 19 as the last date. The scrutiny of forms will be done on April 20 while the last date of withdrawal is April 22.

As per the election office, forms for Ajit Pawar and Sunanda Pawar have been collected from its office. This most probably is a precautionary step in case their respective declared candidate fail to be eligible for contesting the election.
