Two dead,five injured in e-way mishap

Two youths were killed and five injured in a road mishap at Lonavala on Pune-Mumbai Expressway on Sunday evening. The deceased,Lahu Vinayak Patil (32) and Naresh Ram Raje (22),were residents of Taloja in Raigad district.

According to the police,the two and their friends were headed for Mumbai in a car. Their speeding vehicle lost control and hit a road divider around 5.15 pm. The car skid for a few feet and its door yanked open. Patil and Raje,who were thrown out of the vehicle,died on the spot,the police said. Their friends were injured and admitted to Lokmanya hospital for treatment.
